Mexico
Hola! My name is Alejandro, currently enrolled in IPM Master’s Degree in FH-Wels.
I studied computer science in Mexico and during my bachelor’s degree I had the opportunity to take an exchange semester in Bangkok, Thailand. After my graduation I worked as a software account executive in SAP for 4 years, during my time there I noticed how important is Innovation for all companies and i decided to come to Austria to improve my German and get a master’s degree related to Innovation, FH gave me the opportunity to do this and I’m very glad for that. I’m willing to share my experience in topics related to technology, business and innovation. During my free time I enjoy travelling around the world and learn new languages, also with Teo we go hiking feel free to join us.
Why have I chosen this place to study? There are many reasons for that, but the key factors were the high quality of teaching and a wide variety of international exchange programmes worldwide. We have had a Field Trip to China, having studied the market entry modes and international market tendencies there. Then, I have chosen to make an exchange semester in the course of a Double Degree MBA programme at CUW, Wisconsin, USA. It was a wonderful experience, which gave me a lot of useful knowledge and great memories.

I moved to Austria for my Bachelor’s program in Wels in 2018. Since then, I have come to love the intricate and unique cultural differences between Germans and Austrians. After finishing my Bachelor’s program, I moved to Linz. Linz is the capital of Upper Austria and is really great. It is both not too big and not too small. If you are in search of good bread and coffee, you will always find some. I am now enrolled in Hagenberg in the Communication and Media Knowledge Master’s program. I am a huge language nerd, one of my favourite lectures was about the professional use of language. One time, we were discussing the different ways to use a dash in a sentence for more than an hour. Best lesson ever, seriously. In my spare time, I like to go for a run, take a ride on my racing bike, or read.
