ACCOMMODATION
The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria does not own any student accommodation, but there are several student dormitories in and around campuses, usually run by different private or non-profit organizations.

Student housing is available nearby, in the student dormitory Studentenwerk.
Once you are accepted for the summer school, a room in the dormitory will be automatically reserved for you. All students will be accommodated in single rooms with a bathroom inside. A kitchen is available on each floor. A limited number of kitchen utensils is available to be borrowed in the International Office.

Rent starts at about € 220/month. The first month's rent, and, in most cases, a security deposit must be paid before arrival.

Please note that the postal code 4020 indicates the city centre (probably a preferred location).

In the historic city center you will find numerous shops and boutiques, cosy coffee-houses, diverse restaurants and trendy bars. Furthermore Steyr has a rich industrial tradition with well respected companies like BMW, GFM, MAN, SKF and many more.

Please consider that each student residence has limited check in times:
Kolpingheim Wels
Monday- Friday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Georg Oberhaidinger Haus Wels
Monday- Friday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Also note that check-in is not possible during weekends and holidays!
