The academic year at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria consists of two semesters: winter and summer semester. Lectures are held from Monday until Saturday, with Saturdays being mostly reserved for part-time students and project works.

Winter Semester:

Lectures: 1 October - 31 January, in some degree programmes (part-time) mid-September - mid-February.

Exams: during semester - mid-February.

Christmas break: 24 December - 6 January.

Summer Semester:

Lectures: 1 March - 30 June, in some degree programmes (part-time) mid-February - mid-July.

Exams: during semester - mid-July.

Easter Break: week before Easter including Easter Monday.
